05. Make a Donation
No one likes asking for money, but the more funds we get the more we can do to assist young and underprivileged maternal scholars, help mothers be better self advocates, increase outreach to new members, and offer top-tier programming throughout the year. Your donation is CRITICAL to the health of our small but mighty organization.

06. Join a Task Force
How many times have you left a conference with inspiration to burn? Focus that energy. If you are a contributing member, IAMAS wants you to be involved, engaged, and paying it forward. You can do that by joining a task force. Options include: Think Tank 2020, Writing and Publishing, Women of Color Leadership, International Women’s Forum, Policy Development and Activism, University Life, Fundraising and Networking, or Public Relations.

IAMAS Town Hall Events
Virtual Town Halls
Town Halls are an informal way for members to host talks about topics that are a component of established research or would like to beta-test. In some cases, non-members will be permitted to host talks.Â
Town halls are typically one of two formats:
1.) led by speaker (conference style) orÂ
2.) interview format with a moderator (typically Katie B. Garner but another moderator may be chosen).
The first half of the hour is intended for the speaker to present their ideas and the second half is typically open so other attendees can ask questions, offer feedback, and determine appropriate action steps.Â
You are welcome to nominate any speaker you think other members would be interested in hearing from — or nominate yourself. We encourage women with diverse backgrounds and experiences to participate. To nominate someone, email kbgarner@catherineg20.sg-host.com
Non-members may participate in town halls for a small fee ($10).Â
